1. What we do not use

GamePix KIDS stores nothing on the device it is viewed on. Specifically, the pages of this section use no:

• cookies of any kind, first party or third party, technical or otherwise;
• local storage, session storage or IndexedDB;
• web beacons, tracking pixels or clear GIFs;
• device fingerprinting or any other technique for recognising a returning visitor;
• advertising or analytics software development kits.

2. Why there is no banner

Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, which implements the ePrivacy Directive, requires informed consent before storing information on a user’s device or gaining access to information already stored, unless doing so is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has asked for. The Italian supervisory authority set out how that consent must be collected in its guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021.

Neither obligation is triggered here, because nothing at all is written to or read from the device by these pages. Presenting a consent banner to a young child who cannot read it, in order to ask about something that does not happen, would add confusion without adding protection.

3. The games

Games open inside a frame served by GamePix from its own systems. A game may keep a small amount of information on the device so that a child can carry on where they left off, for example the last level reached. Where that happens it is strictly necessary to provide the game the child asked to play, it stays on that device, and it is not used to build a profile or to advertise. Clearing the browser data removes it. No game in this section may load advertising, tag-management, consent-management or measurement components of any kind; we verify this before a game is published and again at every update.

4. Changes

If this ever changes, this page is updated and the date at the top is changed before the change takes effect. Should any non-essential technology ever be introduced, consent would be requested beforehand in the manner the law requires.
